Journey to Easter

Христос Воскрес! Воїстину Воскрес! Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

Finally! Finally, finally, finally we've had Easter! Can I get an Alleluia?! I don't know about you, but this Easter I was especially excited and full of joy. Honestly, I just wanted to hug everyone around me and spread the good news of Christ's Resurrection. I mean, is there anything better than seeing the doors of the iconostas wide open, a symbol of Christ's tomb being empty?

Now that Easter has come and gone, I wanted to look back on the journey leading up to Easter and some of the things we did to prepare in youth ministry. In the spirit of #ThrowbackThursday, follow along on this picture journey of the last few weeks of Lent:

And now I'm off to eat more chocolate and rejoice in the rest of this Bright Week! Let us relish in the fact we are "Easter people," as the Eparchial website continually reminds us. I shall leave you with one of the many memes that circulated the internet, thanks to Easter and April Fools Day sharing the same day:

Have a blessed Bright Thursday and Christ is Risen!

Joyanne :D
